March On, Citizens!
National Day of Action! March on! Interview immigrants willing to explain why they are not anyone’s enemy. They are America’s hard-working and often lowest paid employees who cannot afford layoffs.
I watched some interviews with immigrant Latino voters this morning. A reporter actually listened to their concerns. They talked about standing up for their parents and grandparents who couldn’t march but had suffered Injustice making good lives here. I felt sorry for many of these immigrants who were fooled by Trump’s campaign promises. So, they have hit bottom and need our support in staying sane.
Now, what we need to do is make sure that good independent reporters conduct responsible interviews. Local reporters here never ask the right questions. Then they edit out anything anti-Trump. It’s up to us to be the fair and compassionate interviewers. If you are marching today, don’t get caught up in the slinging mud at Trump theme: you are better than that. Focus on letting immigrants tell their own stories. Let your heart guide your interactions. Everyone is hurting, and everyone has a story to tell.
My heart goes out to employees of service industries who have had to work 2 or 3 jobs to feed their families. The billionaires in Congress do not care, or they would oust non-elected Musk and his team of non-elected “overseers.”
On February 5, 2025, there will be protests at all 50 state capitols across the United States as part of the "50501 Movement," which aims to oppose the Trump administration and advocate for various rights and freedoms. Participants are encouraged to gather at their local capitols at noon, wear blue, and bring comfortable shoes and water.
Be safe. Wear blue🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙
